| Summary | 0001365: SWAN is not displayed when I try to search BT speaker from Samsung TV | ||||
| Description | SKB reported that the Samsung TV couldn't find SWAN device when they tried to search BT audio device. I checked and I think the Samsung TV doesn't display at the list if the BT device has "Set Top Box" property. So, I changed the value of "Class Of Device" from "Set Top Box" to "Loudspeaker" and I could see the SWAN at the searched list. Please apply attached modification to SWAN until today.(device/synaptics/sequoia) Thank you. | ||||

Hi Sangmin, Let me check internally because we already pass BQB certification using current COD setting. Besides, as you know, SWAN support both role of A2DP source and sink. So we have to check if there is any side effort on other BT functions and ATV CTS test cases, etc,... |

Hi Wooshin, It was committed on 10/14 already. This commit is to solve SWAN can not be searched in Samsung TV's search list. Hi Wooshin, As I said, this patch is only to let Samsung TV shows SWAN in search list. But for the issue that Samsung TV can not pair to SWAN as your video, it is now discussed in mantis 1374. |

Hi Sangmin, Wooshin, As River mentioned, we have applied the patch to have SWAN replied that it's one of speaker type of device so Samsung TV is able to show it in search list. Changed to COD setting also have the same effect as our patch but it will impact BQB certification and need to re-certify because the field in QDL listing form have changed. Thanks a lot~ |

Hi Wooshin, After checking with Jim, we already set to Loudspeaker with keeping original STB in setting and don't impact BQB certification. |
